David Finchers Love Death Robots Animated Series Is Coming to Netflix

first_imgStay on target David Fincher’s latest Netflix project is not a kid-friendly cartoon show. Fincher, who directed Gone Girl and The Social Network, is working with Tim Miller, the director of Deadpool, on Love, Death & Robots, Netflix’s first animation anthology series that will debut this year.Love, Death & Robots will span fantasy, horror, and sci-fi genres with an adult humor perspective, said a Netflix press statement. Each episode, which will be up to 15 minutes in length, will feature different types of animation, including 2D to photo-real 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI). Viewers will witness alien spiders, cyborg bounty hunters, sentient dairy products, and more eerie concepts when they watch the series.“Love, Death & Robots is my dream project, it combines my love of animation and amazing stories. Midnight movies, comics, books, and magazines of fantastic fiction have inspired me for decades, but they were relegated to the fringe culture of geeks and nerds of which I was a part,” Miller said in the press statement. “I’m so f*cking excited that the creative landscape has finally changed enough for adult-themed animation to become part of a larger cultural conversation.”Netflix didn’t confirm a set premiere date for the Love, Death & Robots series, but you can learn more about it here.More on Geek.com:Netflix’s ‘Carmen Sandiego’ Trailer Is a Fun Global Chase‘The Punisher’ Season 2 is Coming to Netflix on Jan. 18Netflix Permanently Removes iTunes Billing for New Customers What to Stream on Netflix This WeekendZach Galifianakis Hits the Road in ‘Between Two Ferns: The Movie’ Trailer last_img read more
